Try doing a factory reset by booting into the recovery menu: hold down the "volume +" and "power" button until the recovery menu appear.

new update failed to install model name not the same or something like that

I have read a person mentioning this fota error over at xda developer forum, and they said that they were able to install the update by renaming the file to "Update.pkg" instead of "update.pkg". So give this a try and let me know if you are able to install the update or not.

Has your Streak 7 been rooted? Do you know if you are running stock rom, or a moded rom? I think you bought it used, and someone may have rooted the Streak 7 or have installed a moded rom with Clockwork Mod. That is why you are getting that error. Here is what you need to do:

1. You have to use fastboot to install the update. Here is some instructions on how to use fastboot.

2. Using fastboot require that you flash a recovery.img file, NOT the update.pkg. Here is the link to download the recovery.img

i did them all but the line is still there and mt tablet is new not used

So were you able to install the recovery.img on your Streak 7?

yeaa i did and installed the package file but i have the same issue
