Turning volume down occasionally turns off tablet
My wife's new venue 10 5050 will sometimes turn off when she turns the volume down and will not restart unless it gets plugged in even when the battery isn't low, just this last time it was at 40%. And even then it is a pain to get started.

You should contact dell support and return the tablet for repairs, you are having hardware problems that will only gets worse, you need to get the tablet repaired while it's still under warranty.
