Venue 8 doesn't see iPod Classic

Hi all,

Unfortunately Windows 8.1 on my new Venue 8 doesn't recognize my iPod Classic 160GB (7th generation). I tried all the tricks listed in several forums but can't find the solution. It looks like every 5 seconds or so it DOES show an E-drive for half a second or so. So it looks like there is some kind of recognition but maybe not enough power or so?

Is anyone familiar with this problem? If so, is there a solution? Or is it a rypical case of "too bad..."?
