I would like to remove some of the pre installed software on my streak 5, any help would be great

You will have to "root" your phone to get to the locked and hidden files, then you can either "freeze" the apps or remove them. I would recommend 'freezing' them first to make sure you are not removing something that would turn your new baby into a stone. Then after you are satisfied with the function of your phone, maybe delete one app at a time,
You can go to xda developers site to locate steps on how to root or you can watch a video step-by-step on Youtube.
