Allocation and Usage

Hello,

I have a basic question about 480f

when my user checks the status of the disk usage in the os (Linux), one of the LUNs/blocks is used 1%,
then check unisphere, status LUN / Block allocated 98%
they report it because they think usage is still 1%

are allocation in unity and usage in os the same thing?
can unisphere see disk usage LUN/Block like in os?
which one should pay attention to the use of size?

You likely need to run a space reclaim on the host.

https://www.dell.com/support/kbdoc/en-us/000054669/dell-emc-unity-space-used-displayed-on-unity-is-higher-than-the-space-used-on-host-user-correctable

When the host deletes data, the OS doesn't actually remove the blocks from the host filesystem, it just marks them as overwritable.  The storage array (any storage array not just Unity or even Dell) has no idea whether these blocks are still in use.  A space reclaim on the host will clean up those blocks.
