I have a student in class that is wondering about the implications of using D@RE on the unity array and its impact on a annual requirement to scan barcodes of all drives, requiring removal and reinstall. Assuming that when the system is offline that the drives are replaced in the exact same slot, is there anything to be concerned about when the system is brought back online?

no problem if you are doing it while powered off
expect for the system drives you could even put them in different slots
you could even remove online one drive at a time - but you need to re-insert within 5 minutes or the DEK gets deleted
