Unity 300 Openstack Newton Cinder Drive

Hi Experts.

I couldn't find any documentation regards to Unity Driver Support for Cinder in Openstack Newton release.

From the online Openstack official documents, I understand that Unity Driver is only supported from Openstack Ocata release.

I have Openstack Newton release in my datacenter and I want to know can I order EMC Unity 300/400 or not? If Unity 300/400 is not compatible to work with Cinder(Newton) and Glance(Newton), please inform me.

I think you're reading the OpenStack documentation incorrectly.

Look here:

Specifically this section:

"Unity driver has been integrated in the OpenStack Block Storage project since the Ocata release."

The way that reads to me is that the driver it is supported for Ocata and later. This document BTW was last updated about 10 days ago, so it looks pretty current to me.
