Unity AD user and Local User ...

HI there ....

Do you know local administrator is enabled when CIFS server is member of AD in Unity ?

My customer found local administrator in unity ( joining AD ) . Also would like to know the password for this user .

Also does Unity supports AD User and Local User within same CIFS server ?

Found below doc ... so seems to be it is not supported mix env ...

operate independently of any Windows domain as a stand-alone SMB server.

but not sure if local admin user will be created upon joining AD server ...

Could you try Password123# for local administrator? (should force for change)

Noticed that, local administrator password is mandatory on standalone cifs servers. No such option for domain joined CIFS Servers ( i guess this is for security and simplicity)

However it can be (re)set by domain admins.

"compmgmt.msc /computer:\\ " -> Local Users and Groups -> Users -> Administrator
