Unity CIFS Import

Hello,

Has anyone used the CIFS Import feature within Unity 4.2 yet? I have a VSA I have upgraded before doing our physical arrays and I am trying to to test this out on a test VDM I have on a VNX 5400. I am getting stuck at creating the connection to the remote VNX from Unity. It fails with HTTPS connection errors. There are no ACL's between the two and I can telnet on 443 from the VSA to the VNX.

Does the Unity firewall need a tweak for this to work?

Thanks,

Joe

This has been fixed, I was using the wrong connection area in the GUI. I was under Replication--> Connections. When I needed to be under Replication --> Import to create the interface.

Good find, Joe.

The key here is, For replication, you can see the sub task of "Register local system on remote system"

For VNX connection, it is just one way from VNX to local system, so it will list only 2 sub tasks:

1) Create remote system

2) Discover import objects
