UnityVSA 4.4 Community Edition License
Hi Community,
When pasting Dell UnityVSA UUID to get community edition license , web page displays a popup "Not Connected. Verify Network".
My Dell UnityVSA is not connected to internet. Does it require an internet connection to generate license?

Nothing new as of today. I can see that progress is being made but it is not completed as of today.

Hi,
We are still working on it. You can try do request the license from incognito mode. If that doesn't work you can try phone support for your country, some can create the licenses. Beyond that we are still trying to fix the issue with the creation.

Not sure why there is so much complexity here. Dell needs to make it simple for end-users or partners.
Still the same issue in getting the license file.
The experience with competitors like NetApp and other vendors is much better about the same simulators licenses and its very simplified process. There may be different strategies but at the end of the day, the process needs to be simple for end-users.

All the methods mentioned above have been tried without success.

We are still working to resolve the website issue. The workaround that has been posted is the only other way to get your license at this time.

Hello Andre,
The link https://www.dellemc.com/en-us/auth/elmeval.htm generate still a error "not connected" when you generate a license.
The problem has existed for almost half a year.

We are still working on resolving the website. The site was fixed earlier this year, but since that time we have run into another issue with the site. We are trying to get it backup and running correctly as we are aware that many customers are affected by the site not being up and running.

We are still working on it. The best way to get a license is through phone support.
Contact the Dell EMC Support Line by calling 800-782-4362, option 4, option 4, (at any time) and they will assist you and/or create an SR on your behalf.
Information needed in the Service Request:
Software Part Numbers – 456-110-674 UnityVSA CE 4TB=IC
Quantity/Capacity – Qty 1
Machine information: UUID
Site Info
If this is a Dark Site, please inform Licensing of this
Reason for trial license = UVSA CE Trial License Website is down
