Hello,
I have a few questions.
- Does VMAX Director have a internal clock?
- Does time synchronize between Director?
- Is timestamp of alerts(event log) the time of Director?
- Is it possible to configuring NTP on Director?
Best Regards,

The answer to all of your questions is yes. Please see below for more specific answers.
- Does VMAX Director have a internal clock?
Yes, each CPU (total of 8 on each director) on the director has its own internal clock.
- Does time synchronize between Director?
Yes, the CPUs peridiocially resynchronize to each other, typically every 24 hours.
- Is timestamp of alerts(event log) the time of Director?
Yes
- Is it possible to configuring NTP on Director?
Configuring NTP is through the Service Processor on the array, not directly to the directors. For more information on this, please see KB article 44844. An EMC Service Representative will need assist in configuring the NTP services on the Service Processor.
