Concurrent SRDF not working after Microcode upgrade on VMAX
Hi,
We have a Concurrent SRDF setup between three sites. Following is our setup:
Sync replication between DMX4-6(M.code 5773) and DMX800(m. code 5671)
Async replication between DMX4-6 and VMAX-1(5875)
Whole configuration was working fine till we upgraded Micro Code of VMAX-1 from 5874 to 5875.
Now sync replication is working fine i.e between DMX4-6 to DMX800 but async is not working at all.
Actually it it unable to ping another aray for example if we ping DMX4-6 from VMAX-1 it says "
""# symrdf ping -sid 11xx
Could not ping (Remotely) Symmetrix ID: 000xxxxx11xx and same error appears when we ping VMAX-1 from DMX4 Array. ""
We can see that all the controller are in online state on both Arrays.
We have verified zoning , physical connectivity between arrays and did lot of trouble shooting through command line as well like take offline the RA group and then online etc. But nothing paid off.
Can somone please help in this, please ? Is it due to Micro Code upgrade on VMAX Array or something else? What are the factors to be looked upon ?

Hoepfully you have a case open with EMC support. You may want to check your code levels to make sure you are within the recommended levels.

Yes we have case open with EMC , lets see what they suggest/do.
