De-duplication of content
Hello,
Can we store content in VMAX from FileNet or any other ECM Platform if it is already being used by another application.
Does VMAX provide de-duplication feature out of the box.
If VMAX provides de-duplication feature OOTB, then can it de-duplicate the encrypted/compressed documents.

I think we can store the content from FileNet to VMAX if it is already being used by some other application. I believe, we can create tiers for different application in VMAX.
Could you please confirm.

Yes you can create tiers based on type of disk and the FAST policy that you associate to the Storage Group for each application.
ex = You could have "App A" Storage Group associated to "Gold" Policy which resides in only EFD and FC. "App B" Storage Group associated to "Silver" Policy which resides in EFD, FC, and SATA.
You could also go with the VMAX Cloud Edition which provisions storage based on service levels.
