Developer question - Timefinder/Snap on VMAX10K
I am a developer with access to VMAX10K. I want to test Timefinder/Snap (with VDEVs) and TimeFinder Mirror (with BCVs or TDEV-BCVs). Is is at all possible (may be with a bin file change) to enable this functionality on the VMAX10K? I don't need the extra hardware/storage space/performance of the 20K or 40K. What is my best option?

TF/SNAP and TF/Clone (mirror is no longer available) are already there on VMAX. It does not require BIN change to enable it. However, licenses are required to enable these functionality.

TF/Snap is not available on VMAX10K. The functionality was replaced by VP Snap. Even if there was some way to enable TF/Snap on the 10K, you might find that it has problems, which is why we came out with VP Snap.

Hi Michael,
Could I create a VP snap for BRBCV volume in SRDF/AR environment? I tried , but failed. Looking forward to your message.
