Given a bcv device, is there a way to find its corresponding source devices preferably using SMI-S provider?

Hi,

say - i have BCV/BCV+TDEV device. Is there a way to find it corresponding source device using SMI-S provider?

Yes, use the class CIM_StorageSynchronized

Hi Sean, to simply put - one can say a tool to do lun expansion automatically for VMAX storage systems using SMI-S provider.

Btw, Sean - your answer (https://community.emc.com/thread/175977) helped me a lot to get quick start. thank you

and yes, while doing this i took at quick peek at replication/copy profiles and felt very interesting - so just exploring/reading through to get better understanding to have concrete solution for snap/mirror/clone/srdf as well in future.
