Increasing volume size
Hello,
I have non-meta volume sizing 10 GB, is it possible to increase the size of the volume to 20 GB online without any downtime? I don't want the volume to convert to a Meta volume.
Any help is appreciated.
Best Regards,

The only way to increase a device size is to add meta members.
Keep in mind with thin devices, you can create larger sizes than the user request request - just don't pre-allocate the entire device. This give the ability for future growth without having to do any further storage provisioning from the storage end.

To expand on Jason's answer...the only meta type you can create online (using an existing online device as the head) is a concatenated meta. If you want the meta to be striped you will first need to create the concatenated meta and then convert it to striped. The conversion to striped will also need a concatenated BCV meta device in order to preserve the data on the device being converted.
