Is it necessary add Fast license for upgrade capacity for vmax box sold as RAW fast capable?
Hello Guys...
Customer has already purchased a VMAX 20K with 3 tiers configured.
Configuration has 16 ssd, 168 sas e 56 sata.
Sales guys configured it at sales order perspective as "RAW capable to use fast " ( I'm not sure exactly the name at Direct express).
Now they ( EMC sales ) are trying to sell same capacity ( something about 150TB raw ).
The main question here is :
1-) Need they mark to sell FAST functionallity again for the proposed upgrade ?
2-) Or once box was configured as RAW fast capable in the beginning it is unnecessary now ?
The new storage capacity will create a new " lic " file for configuration purposes.
At fast perspective will option # 2 , let box as NO compliant ?
May be that nobody here be able to answer this.
I appreciate if someone could indicate right person or groups to forward this.
Regards.

Joelson,
The sales rep is correct: the new capacity will need to be licensed for FAST VP. Please note this is a customer community; the best place to ask this question would be at inside.emc.com -- for example, the EMSD Minors community.
Thanks,
