Is the microsoft File name Storport.sys level 6.1.7601.22133 supported by EMC

Hi,

our team server ask us about a Microsoft KB : 2769701 Slow disk write performance when you use a back-end SAN on a computer that is running Windows Server 2008 R2. The question is can we apply this fix for : Driver Storport.sys at level 6.1.7601.22133.

We use  Vmax-1 (enginuity 5875.249.188) and wmax20K (enginuity 5876-85-49).

How can we know if this Storport version is compatible with our EMC environment ?

Thanks for your help,

Regards, Didier

HI Didier,

As far as I know EMC and HBA manufacturers still has not approved any storport hotfix for Windows 2008 R2 OS. Whatever comes with OS is recommended. Check the elab.
