NDM Migrations for Environments booting from SAN

Hi

I´m new in SRDF/NDM i found the best practice for NDM Migrations and i take a look at " Boot From san Support" but i am a little bit confuse about this info "The host boot bios must be update" it means?????, is there any other thing that i need to consider when i migrate by using NDM on Environment booting from SAN.

are there any best practice, tips, steps, etc??
