Powerpath Support for Hyperv on Windows 2012.

Hello Experts,

We are planning to move our VMWare Environment to the HyperV environment for cost cutting purpose.

The consultants from Microsoft recommend to go with Windows 2012 Data Center Version, but we don't know how reliable hyperv is.

If anyone have experience with Following, kindly share your experiences here. (The following will be attached to the VMAX 10K Storage Array.)

1. Windows 2012

2. EMC PowerpathVE

3. HyperV

4. Other relevant apps.

We can install PowerPath 5.5 SP1 and 5.7 on Windows 2012 and Windows 2012 Hyper-V. X64 bit is only suppoted. It’s the license that makes the difference. The produce is the same. It used to be separate but is now the same.

The recommended version of PowerPath for Windows 2012 Hyper-V is “PowerPath 5.7 for Windows”.

You can download the software from https://support.emc.com/downloads/.
Search “PowerPath for Windows” in the Find a Product column.

Cheers…
