VMAX 40K Serial# to FA WWN Encode
I know on e-Lab it can be done 1 port at a time. B
I have a new 8 Engine VMAX coming our way and would like to generate a map of all the FA ports and WWN's to expect before it hits the floor.
Used to have an EMC applet and spreadsheet that would do the trick for all FA ports at once based on the serial #. But it's never been updated for the VMAX family.

That sounds like a good start.
Where can I locate that?
For now, I import the BIN into EMP and export a full report but that's so much overkill if I just want the FA WWN's

Hi Todd,
I will try to find where you can download the WWPNUtility.
But until then you can use the following command:
symcfg -sid 1234 list -fa all ---------------> Displays wwn of all front-end director ports.
is that good for you for the moment?

Also Todd,
you can use the following from Elabadvisor to decode WWPN of an Array:

As you know it is the site that you upload the EMCGrabs and you analyze them getting back an output in html format or in a xls format.
