VMAX discovery on EMC UniSphere
Installed Unisphere but it doesnt have VMAX listed. VApp Manager displays all the storage arrays.Gate keeprs are also assigned.
Any thing that we are missing on to get the Unisphere discover VMAX.

This the virtual appliance? Sometimes I have seen it require a reboot once to pick up the arrays in Unisphere.

Does the user you're logging into Unisphere with have permissions for the array? To find out, run this command:
symauth -sid list -users

Cody, we had to restart the EMC SMC service and restarted the unisphere and it worked.
Thanks.
Checked all the user information that are logged in.

Thanks pete, your recommendation is valid even after 3 years. I just got a new vmax array and faced the issue. Problem was ACL and got sorted out. Assemble PC
