BUZZ Talk on Convergence
Hello EMCers and ECN community members,
Wanted to get the discussion going for the BUZZ Talk that I will be giving at EMC World next week. If you are attending in person, or watching online - my session will be 2pm-2:30pm on Monday, May 21st:
Data Collision; How Virtualization is Converging the Enterprise
https://community.emc.com/docs/DOC-16540#Stu_Miniman
For some background, check out my Wikibon Primer on Converged Infrastructure.
These sessions are not a presentation, but an interactive discussion - so, I need your questions.
I've been covering the convergence market (I look at this as the blurring/combining of storage, networking and compute) for over a decade. I had a front-row seat to watch some of this develop while I was part of EMC's E-Lab interoperabilty group, helped develop solutions and strategy as part of EMC's CTO Office and now am an analyst (for the last 2 years) where I cover this area extensively with Wikibon. Thought the VMware community would be a good place to start this discussion since virtualization is a critical driver in this trend.
Open to all questions technical, competitive, organizational or operational.
Comment below or shoot me a note on Twitter (@stu).
Thanks,
Stu Miniman

How do you see EMC's recent aquisition of EtremeI/O playing in the converged space?
