General storage infrastructure to support vmware view
Hello,
I was wondering if someone could aid me in theoretically designing a relatively basic storage infrastructure that would support around 500 users (mostly power users with light users as well), whom will be using vmware horizon view desktops?
Also how would i ensure data is protected at a data protection site 20km away?
What sort of switches would I use?
What sort of storage array would I use?
What protocols would be best to use? FC? FCoE?
How would i ensure data is replicated to the recovery site?
How would I interconnect everything?
Any information would be appreciated in helping me better understand how a storage solution is created.
Thank you

Please consider moving this question as-is (no need to recreate) to the proper forum for maximum visibility. Questions written to the users' own "Discussions" space don't get the same amount of attention and can go unanswered for a long time.
You can do so by selecting "Move" under ACTIONS along the upper-right. Then search for and select: "Everything VMware at EMC".
