Analyzer IOPS statistics help?
I'm using Analyzer to track my total IOPS, ("Total Throughput IO/s"), SP Cache hits ("SP Cache Read or Write Hits/s"), and FAST Cache hits ("FAST Cache Read or Write Hits/s") per LUN on my VNX5800 system. I want to find the percentage of SP hits, FAST Cache hits, and misses out of all IO.
I expected that Total Throughput IO/s = SP Cache hits + FAST cache hits + FAST Cache misses.
However, the FAST Cache Read Misses/s alone is often greater than the Read Throughput IO/s.
Could someone explain exactly which IO the "Total Throughput IO/s" is supposed to include?
Thank you,
Rebecca

Jyothi,
It is helpful but if the total IOPS is supposed to include IO to FAST Cache, then my data makes even less sense.
The FAST Cache Read hits/s or misses/s is sometimes greater than the total Read Throughput (IO/s) statistic, by a factor of 2 or more.
If the Read Throughput includes FAST Cache IO/s, then Read Throughput should always be greater or equal to FAST Cache IO/s.
Are my statistics inaccurate?
Thank you,
Rebecca
