Any effect of Heartbleed OpenSSL bug with VNX storage?

We're currently going through all our SW and HW to see what may be affected by the current Heartbleed OpenSSL bug. I thought it would just mainly be software and Linux servers, but some of our Cisco hardware is also affected because the software it runs depends on affected versions of the OpenSSL libraries. Though I doubt our VNX storage would have similar dependencies, I just need to ask if there's any possible effect of the Heartbleed OpenSSL bug on our VNX storage. Our security officer will feel better having something more official than my own speculation.

Good Morning Luke,

let me make it clear.

EMC Product Security Response Center [PSRC] prvided these statements:

          - VNX OE Block Code is NOT affected

          - VNX OE File Code is under investigation by EMC.

The above information are official.

Best Regards,

Gió

Here is the official EMC KB on this: https://support.emc.com/kb/185965

Also here is an article from VMware on their products: VMware KB: Response to OpenSSL security issue CVE-2014-0160/CVE-2014-0346 a.k.a: "Heartbleed"

I don't know anything more than what's been listed there.

I am having an issue viewing the KB article. Will try another browser.

I was having the same issue...clicking the KB link would redirect me to "emc.my.salesforce.com", which would then quickly redirect me to "https://fim.emc.com/access_deny.html" telling me "Access Denied".

Try logging out and clicking the KB link without being logged in...that's what worked for me.

Strange problem
