Can i remove disks from pool without delete the pool.

I have VNX5300.

I have one pool from 2x100 FLASH+ 2x600GB SAS+ 2x2TB SATA.

I have Tiering and Virtual Provisining on this pool and many LUNs.

After benchmark tests today i've dicided to remove 2 FLASH disk from pool and add them to Cache.

Is there a way to remove data from them and remove from pool or i have to migrate all my LUNs to new pool and delete old one?

Thank you.

Currently you cannot remove disks from a pool – you can only destroy the complete pool

I would suggest looking for a few extra drives (or temp capacity in another pool) that you can LUN Migrate everything to while you rebuild that pool the way you want it. Then you can LUN Migrate back and you don't have to shut down any of your systems that are using those LUNs.

Depending on how heavily they are being accessed you could potentially put them in a pool of another type for long enough to recreate the pool in question. It all depends on function and utilization (and of course how risk averse your business folks are).
