Connect single host to VNX via iscsi , and to CX3 VIA FC

Dears,

I need to connect single REDHAT host  to two emc storage , one to VNX 5300 via ISCS ,and another connection to CX3 via FC..

but PowerPath on redhat server can see just FC PATHs ,and not deal with ISCSI PATHs ..

using fdisk -l on redhat server i can see all disks from all pathes , but just powerpath cannot deal with ISCSI PATHS,

so is this configuration supported by emc and powerpath? and why powerpath cannot deal with ISCS and FC connection on single host simultaneously??

Thanks

you don't see the iSCSI LUNs when you run "powermt display dev=all" ? Tried "powermt config" ?

thanks all but

From EMC Host Connectivity Guide for Linux, rev A32, page 121:

"A single host cannot mix HBAs and NICs to connect to the same
array or different arrays.
A single host cannot attach to a Fibre Array and ISCSI Array at the
same time."

So, as its states, this cannot be done.

I really don't know, but he did find it in the host conn guide. I've never encountered such an environment anyway, so I'd have to go with the manual here.

And I did verify in the pdf from the EMC site: it does indeed say so!

i think the problem related to PowerPath ,

becaus i connect TO two differnt arrray (ISCSI,FC) and i can see all paths ,

but powerpath can handly only FC paths and Ignore ISCSI paths..

so i can acces ISCSI paths without Powerpath
