Determining the amount of RAW disk capacity?

Hello all.

Can anyone point me to a procedure/command that might help me do some reporting on the amount of RAW disk space & the amount of configured/committed disk for VNX 5700 Unified system?  Is there any third-party or EMC reporting tool that might also do some reporting?

Cant you get that from UniSphere and just export it to Excel ?

There are a number of software packages that should be able to do that, like:

- ProSphere

- Maybe DPA

- VNX Storage Analytics Suite (OEM part of VMware vC Ops – just announced)

- A new product that will be announced soon

If you are a Microsoft user and have already installed MS SCOM you could look into our VNX plugin for that – its free

Really depends on the level of detail you need, file+block or just block, …

For basics you could also get the info with navicli calls and collate / cross-reference with NAS CLI commands
