File system mount points differ in PRD and DR

Hello all

We were doing a DR drill and we came to a strange issue. The folders were having permission issues. When we checked we could find that the mount point for the filesystem was different in the DR VNX and VNX is not allowing us to unmount the file system from wrong mount point because it was a replicated copy.

Please help me out to solve the issue of mount point and access the filesystem from the DR system. We also have to see if the system is failed back to PRD site, then there should not be any accessing issues on VNX from production site.

Can you paste output from the source and dr VNX (server_mount server_x)?

Dear Karl

The issue was the wrong mount point of filesystem in destination. From the community thread, I got replies for the similar issue. Steps are as follows

Stop the replication

Unmount the filesystem from server_2

Mount the filesystem on vdm

Start the replication.

I am little confused on step 1 and step 4. Does stopping a replication and starting it back have to be done from the source array?

Yes - stopping and restarting the replication must be done from the source array.  Let us know if that helps!
