each datamover has two auxiliary ports, that's where you connect your tape drive.

Please make sure you read the VNX NDMP manual – available from Powerlink

server_devconfig server_2 -list -scsi -nondisks -all
server_devconfig server_2 -probe -scsi -nondisks -all
server_devconfig server_2 -create-scsi -nondisks -all
server_devconfig server_2 -list -scsi -nondisks -all
output should look something like this:
[nasadmin@ns20 ~]$ server_devconfig server_2 -list -scsi -nondisks -all
server_2 :

kbhandarkar,
Also, you should verify it is a supported configuration using the NDMP Interoperability Matrix:
http://powerlink.emc.com/km/live1/en_US/Offering_Technical/Interoperability_Matrix/NAS_NDMP_InteropMatrix.pdf
[...]
NAS Engineering qualifies tape drives only and not TLUs. The following test should be used to determine
if a particular TLU is supported with a particular backup application and Celerra/VNX File:
-> IF the backup software vendor’s NDMP or LAN application is listed in the NSM as supported,
----> AND the tape drive and any associated bridges are listed in the NSM as supported,
----> AND the TLU, tape drive and any associated bridges are supported by the backup software vendor,
----> THEN the TLU, tape drive and any associated bridges are supported.
-> ELSE the TLU is not supported.
