Is there any issue with generating a new certificate for VNX 5700 while everythign is online?

While logging onto Unisphere for our VNX5700 I am getting error that the certificate is not valid.

I checked the "valid to" date and it was sometime last month.

Below article explains how to renew self signed cert which we are using:

VNX: Error: Certificate has invalid date. (User Correctable)

But I want to ensure that renewing the certificate has no effect on the SAN conectivity.

And are there any other things to consider?
