Prod and Dev/QA servers on a single Pool on VNX
Hi All,
We have a setup where we have our Production/Dev/QA servers getting LUNS from a Single Pool on VNX 5700. Is this a good practice ? or do we need to look at separating the Prod and Dev server LUN on separate pools? please advice on this.

Well – if you want to seperate the workload then yes it’s a good idea to use separate pools
Its a tradeoff between best practices for performance and reliability and flexibility / efficiency
