Replacing a failure hard SAS drive with VNXe3150
Replacing a hard SAS drive with VNXe3150
I have a failure of one hard disk out of 6 on VNXe3150.
I want to replace it with a new one. Which disk parameters should completely match: FW, EMC PN, REV.
My failed disk has the following parameters:
Model: ST3000NM0023
PN: 9ZM278 - 031
FW: GK88
EMC PN: 118033057
WWN: 5000C50058AD65F8
REV: 02
What new disk should I replace the failed one with? Which parameters should exactly match, and which are less critical?
I will be glad to receive an answer if you had such a situation. Thanks.

check the disk and OE matrix
https://dl.dell.com/content/docu31796_vnxe-series-storage-systems-disk-and-oe-matrix.pdf?language=en-us
It has to be a Dell/EMC branded disk with supported firmware - generic drives wont be recognized
support can also lookup in a parts compatibility database
