Replication question
we recently moved our replication san to a different site. does anybody know what interface on the vnx mirrorview replicates the data over?
is it the block interfaces or the management interfaces?

It's the block interface, not the management interface. See screenshot

great thanks for the quick reply. with that being said i should dedicate that interface for mirror and use the other 3 for block traffic.

i am not using MirrorView on my VNX but it's like with everything, it depends. If you have a lot of host traffic you might want to segregate it to its own set of ports to not impact replication. You can't use those MirorView ports for SanCopy though.

they should already be designated, if you go into Settings > Network > Settings for Block

they are designated but you can still use port 0(mirrorview) for standard block traffic. but from a best prac standpoint you should avoid that right?

You are correct. Avoid using the mirrorview port for host traffic if you can
