Unable to connect Hosts to VNX
Hello experts,
I am unable to connect two new ESX hosts on VNX. I get the error -
Error: Connect Host Dialog
Connection information could not be retrieved for this host.
Please check the host IP address, and verify that the host is managed and is logged into a block storage system.
Our MDS 9124 fiber switch zones are configured for the new hosts, the zoneset has been activated and we are able to ping between ESX hosts, fiber switch and SAN.
Our hosts are in maintenance mode. On SAN, we have manually added the hosts under 'Initiators' and have added the hosts under 'Storage Groups'.
Status shows Inactive / Unmanaged.
Please help

In ESX there is a host agent that should automatically register the host to the array when the host initiators (HBA's) log into the array. If the array is not seeing the new hosts this is most likely the zoning.
You can also get a Host Connectivity Guide for your servers by going to:
mydocuments.emc.com - select VNX Series, then VNX Server Task / Attach a Server and follow the Wizard.
