Using only NLSAS drives in the storage pool
Hi everyone,
Will it be a good idea to use only NLSAS drives in the storage pool? Or shall I stay away from this config and go with traditional RGs R6 6+2.
Appreciate your input.

what application is this for ? I like to use pools whenever possible as it gives me more flexibilit in the future (add another tier, rebalance ..etc)

application is video archiving. I agree that pools give more flexibility.
It is not against best practice to use only NLSAS drives in the storage pool though, isn't it?

nope. For example i have an all NLSAS pool that presents LUNs to VNX datamovers.

If the workload suits, go for it. No reason not to.

I am actually talking about block storage pools, on which I will carve out LUNs for Windows, Linux, etc. hosts. Is that going to be fine? Have not seen any recommendation to avoid anything like this.
