VNX 7500 -Uncorrectable Parity Sector/Uncorrectable Sector
I'm getting below an error alert on VNX 7500 unified storage. I've contacted EMC and they have suggested that i need to run Read only block verification {ROBV} on pool {disable auto tiering}. moreover whole ROBV process will impact performance.
I would like to know if anyone has faced this issue in VNX and how this problem was resolved.
Please share your thoughts.

You should run the ROBV to assess how much of your data is potentially corrupted. If it's a small amount, you may be able to restore only that part. Otherwise you are basically looking at an unbind/rebind then restore scenario.
My advice is to follow the support/engineering advice closely and start making contingency plans should you have to do bulk restore/recovery tasks.

basically, yes. If the data is unrecoverable, you unbind the LUN, rebind it and then restore from backup.
