VNX and RSA Envision

Dears,

I'm trying to add the VNX to the RSA Envision in order to track the logs on the VNX (mainly on the NAS part for security reasons to be able to see if any user has deleted any folder or changed the security policy of a folder). I went through the attached document "EMC_ClariionNavisphere" page 5, but it didn't work, from the envision side we are not able to see any logs coming from the VNX.

Any idea of what could be the issue?

Thank You

Bob

Hi Rainer,

thank you for your reply.

Yes you are right concerning the document, but this is the only one I found which talks about integrating the VNX with the RSA Envision.

What I mean also is the CIFS shares, directories shared via CIFS, is there a way to retrieve the logs from the DM and send them to RSA Envision?

Any idea or a document that helps me to do that?

Thanks

Hi Bob,

I’m not an Envision expert – but the document you added only talks about collecting events from the storage processor.

If with folder you mean CIFS shares or directories shared via CIFS – the info is only available via the data mover (x-blade)

Or do you man LUN folders ?

Sorry – I dont know if that functionality is implemented in Envision

I suggest to find out from RSA documentation or support

What I know that in order to get CIFS auditing you need to get the security.evt from the data mover

No Events found!
