hi gurivireddy,

Please consider moving this question as-is (no need to recreate) to the proper forum for maximum visibility.  Questions written to the users' own "Discussions" space don't get the same amount of attention and questions can go unanswered for a long time.

You can do so by selecting "Move" under ACTIONS along the upper-right.  Then search for and select: "VNX Family Support Forum" which would be the most relevant for this question.

Thanks Fenglin, I have moved this question to VNX family.

when you use power calculator it is sort of similar , gives you a visual of how many DAEs/drives you have, how many U's is needed.

Thanks for your inputs dynamox, the aim of this is to show VNX hardware to customer. Is there is any 3D animated catalog of VNX or VNX hardware viewer ??

i can't think of anything that is available to customers, partners/EMC employees have access to a lot more tools. Check in with your local CE/Partner.

Your local CE or Partner also has access to a tool called NSD-U (Network Storage Designer - Unified).  This can produce Excel charts/output with the DAE configuration and Rack U of the system, using XML output from Unisphere.  I also believe it can now export a system picture as well.  Like dynamox said, check with your local resources.

In Unisphere you can select System/Storage Hardware - that will show your array - clicking on some of the items will highlight which area that is.
