VNX-mitrend analysis
Dears,
Good day to you!
I Have made some mitrend analysis on some VNXs. in the disk summary table , there is a column for number of disks, and another for number of hot spares, my question is , for the total number of disks, do I need to add these columns ?
i.e. let's say i have 10 disks in the #Disks column , and 2 disks in the #spares column , does this give me a grand total of 12 disks, or 10disks?

Which tool generated your VNX summary report? Can you compare it with what you see in VNX's Unisphere console?
Array > System > Hardware > Disks:

# Disks is inclusive of spares.
If the "Disks Summary" table shows 10 disks and 2 spares, that means you have 8 non-spares + 2 spares.
