VNX5300 Block: SANcopy returned an error on an status query.

Hi all,

I recently updated two VNX5300 block only arrays from 5.32.000.5.015 to 5.32.000.5.215. Update worked fine without any issues.

Two days after the update customer informed me about several new notifications from the array (see below.).

Arrays run a MirrorView/S replication. Mirrors are up and running.

Time Stamp 07/13/14 09:07:25 (GMT) Event Number 71528016 Severity Error Host VNX5300_RZ1-SPB Storage Array CKM00120400060 SP N/A Device N/A Description SANcopy returned an error on an status query.

File: D:/Views/1a64920901cce623ab8d7df110101541.stg/catmerge/Layered/FAR/src/FARLib/SPpoll.cpp

Line: 2264

Details: Unable to query sancopy status, sancopy returned an error 712a8032

Status: 0x712a8032

Has anybody an idea how to fix the error or to stop the notifications?

Regards,

Tim

Jyothi is correct!! please find the KB details below:

This event log entry can be ignored. The messages show up whenever an SPCollect is run. The MirrorView/A component will try to query information from SAN Copy. If no mirrors were created, this error is expected.
No fix is required  because the messages are expected. If  you do not want to see this error message, uninstall the MV/A enabler.
