What is the maximum path length in VNX filesystem?

Question

What is the maximun length of a path+filename in VNX filesystem?

Is the limit set by the OS where the share (Windows) or export (Linux/Unix) is mounted?

Is ther a limit in the UxFS?

Is the same for OE 8.x and 7.x?

Keep in mind that clients protocol stacks like CIFS on Windows also have a max path length
