dynamic tiering on vnx5100
Hi to all,
we are evaluating to buy a vnx storage.
We would like to Know if the FAST suite on the vmx5100 has thi feature : "Dynamically tier data across drives".
this feature is non listed for the vnx5100 on page 6 of the document: http://www.emc.com/collateral/software/specification-sheet/h8514-vnx-series-ss.pdf

Hi,
the VNX 5100 is the entry level model – it doesn’t support the FAST VP functionality required for tiering – only FAST Cache.
So it’s FAST suite is different from the other models FAST suite licenses.
If you need FAST VP tiering that you have to choose at least a 5300.
