slow nfs write performance on Solaris x86 VM

Hi.

We are experiencing very slow write throughput on a nfs share hosted on our unified VNX 5600 system . The nfs client is a solaris 10 x86 running on VMware. I have provided an output from  DM using server_stat commnad which illustrates intermitten nfs writes to the share when copying over a 3GB file from the client to the nfs export.

For testing i have also mounted the same share on a RHEL host and i am getting very good write throughput from the same share. The RHEL host in running on the same VMWare host as the Solaris VM.

I am very new to file and would greatly appreciate some assistance in troubleshooting the issue.

Thanks

Paul

I would suggest to start with the usual

Compare mount options

Look for packet loss
