support of LUN migrate for a dvol
Hello,
I want to know if it is possible to do a LUN Migrate which it contains a dvol
the environment is a VNX5700 file in last version flare 32 and 7.1.56.5
i want to free up RG100 with 14 disks
i want to migrate LUN 51 to LUN 52
extract of whereisfs
CKM00110900049-0100 51 (d18 ) fsarch10
50 (d17 )
CKM00110900049-0101 53 (d16 ) fsarch10
52 (d15 )
Before i remove d17 and d15 that i previously free up from storage pool (nas_pool -shrink) and remove from StorageGroup, finaly delete dvol.
it is a supported solution?
thank you

Hi Rainer,
Yes the both LUN are on same raidgroup type and protection.
The both RG are made with 14 2 TB disk and RAID6.
The both LUN have the same size.
I read some article, and i notice that the only trouble is the informations about the LUN in the NASDB.
And because i will replicate the FS after adding the new free disks to the block storage pool and extend the second NAS storage pool, on that pool. I will destroy the LUN on the RG, then the false information in the NASDB will disappear!
thanks.

IF both LUNs have the same storage profile (same disk type and RG type so that they would be in the same system pool) then you can use LUN migration
