usermapper replication between Primary and secondary sites

First checking I have this right.

Once usermapper is setup on a primary and secondary sites, for proper DR, the primary should be exported on a regular basis and imported into DR usermapper to ensure consistant state.

If the above is a valid statement, does a script exist to manage this replication ( to avoid re-inventing the wheel) ?
