Latency requirement between VPLEX Management Servers (via VPN)?

Hello,

I know that latency must be <5ms between VPLEX clusters for the WAN-COM links (whether FC or IP based) for VPLEX Metro.  But what about the latency between VPLEX Management Stations (via the IPsec VPN)?  I know the witness server can handle up to 1000ms (1 second) of latency to either cluster, but what about cluster1 <-> cluster2 Management Station connectivity?  I want to route this traffic over a separate WAN circuit (separate from WAN COM links) so that is why I am asking.

Thanks,

Bill

Hi Bill,

I will have to inquire about this limit from engineering however I just want to point out that there is nothing different with the management to management server vpn configuration for the Geo and that is supported out to 50ms.

Do you know what the latency is across this other network?

I think the MPLS circuit is well under 50ms, but I will need to test it.  I was just curious if the Management Server VPN had any specific requirements.  I think 50ms seems reasonable to plan around.  Thanks for the info!
