Hi there,
does anyone know for sure if the senders email domain can be something different than @emc.com?
The help of the ./connectemcConfig -h doesn't mention anything and in all examples I did find is the senders mail domain @emc.com.
thx
Tom

Hello Tom,
You need to use @emc.com if you want your system to call home with the error. If you don’t want your system to contact EMC with the error, then you don’t have to use @emc.com.
Please let us know if you have any other questions.

Thx Sam,
not the answer I was hoping to get, but if that's the case - that's the case.
Any other product (Avamar, DD,....) allows to have a different sender domain. Any idea why the VPLEX doesn't?
The customer accepts only internal mails from there own mail domain, so there is no way to use there e-mail infrastructure to have the VPLEX call home
We need to talk to the customer.
cheers
