resume-link-down
Hi all
I'm testing vplex fault injection and I've got a problem when I try to resume a partitioned scenario.
Stop witness, stop cluster on site 2 (powerdown) , all distributed devices go in suspended state.
I've tried to resume distributed device with resume-link-down, but the command goes on error...
VPlexcli:/> device resume-link-down -f -c cluster-1 -r device_vmfs01_1
WARNING: Since the islands are isolated, execution of 'resume-link-down' may cause potential Data Loss/Data Corruption.
device resume-link-down: Evaluation of <> failed.
cause: Failed to resume IO.
cause: Firmware command error.
cause: This device has a virtual volume that is associated with a consistency group containing a detach rule. The detach must be done from the consistency group
thanks

Hi,
If the clusters are partitioned this should cause the losing site to gain access and could be data inconsistency.
I believe the error below is instructing you to perform the resume-at-loser from the consistency group context where the DR1 volumes are a part of.

Find the answer..When devices are in a consistency group we've to use
cd /clusters/cluster-2/consistency-groups/CG_Vmware
choose-winner --cluster cluster-2
thanks
